Sree Raghavapuram Sabhayogam Maha Veda Bhajanam – A 5 day vibrant annual vedic & cultural event in Kerala

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated in and supported the 1231st Annual Conference & Maha Veda Bhajanam of Sree Raghavapuram Sabhayogam, making it a resounding success. With the divine blessings of Jagadeeswara, the event has received immense praise from all corners.

The TRIVENI Balika Sangamam

The TRIVENI Balika Sangamam, this year’s highlight program, witnessed the participation of over 200 girls chanting the Annapurna Sthavam based on the theme Swadharma, Swabhava & Swadesha.

The event was graced by the auspicious presence and blessings of HH Jagadguru Kanchi Sankaracharya.

We had the honor of felicitating the following achievers:

Four disciples of the Sabhayogam Veda Patasala (2018 batch) who completed the Taithiriya Samhitha were awarded the “Samhitha Swadhyayi” degree.

Brahmasri. Kesava Vadhyan was conferred the “Veda Swadhyayi” degree for completing Taithiriya Sakha.
Their gurus and parents were also acknowledged for their contributions.

A moment of pride was the handover of the “Sneha Bhavanam,” a mini house built by the Sabhayogam Social Welfare Wing for a deserving tribal family with six children.

Special Anushtanams and Rituals:

Rare and significant rituals were performed by expert priests, including Srichakra Pooja, Gau Pooja, Purusha Sukta Havanam, Sukritha Homam, Sarpabali, Parasurama Pooja, Srirama Pooja, Ganapathi Havana, and Devi Pooja.

The full recitation of Rig, Yajus, and Sama Samhithas in the Kerala rendition style by nine Vedajnas and 24 students over five days was a spiritual highlight.

Yajurveda Havanam and a unique Varam recitation of Rig, Yajus, and Sama Samhithas were also performed. Last day 108 Namboodiri Brahmins joined for the Laksharchana.

Inaugurations and Milestones:

A simple Mandapam for the Adi Sankaracharya statue in Kanisseri Kavu was completed and inaugurated.

The foundation stone for the Dharma Gaushala for aged cows was laid.

Seminars and Honors:

Four seminars on temple Devaswom land, two on indigenous cows, two on modern education, and five on Dharma Awakening were conducted.

Brahmasri. Amallur Narayanan Namboodiri was honored with the Shrothriya Ratnam award for his lifetime service to Veda Dharma.

Former HH Rawalji Easwaraprasad Namboodiri was recognized for a decade of holy service at Badrinath.

Nine PhD holders and academic rank holders were felicitated for their achievements.

The event was graced by HH Sankaracharyas —Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal, Sachidananda Bharathi Swamigal, and Narayanana Brahmananda Theertha Swamigal—and other distinguished dignitaries, including HH Kolarhiri Rama Varma Valiya Raja, Brahmasri. Kompankulam Vishnu Somayaji, Hon. Judge PV Kunhikrishnan, and Dr. Veena Raj, Former IRS.

Cultural Performances:

Various traditional art forms, including Kathakali, Bharatanatyam, Thiruvathira, Sopana Sangeetham, and Carnatic concerts, were showcased by talented artists.

Kathakali:

Governing Council Reconstitution

The Sabhayogam Governing Council was reconstituted, adding two young members and a lady for their exemplary service. Brahmasri. Srikanth Bhattathiri was appointed as the Hon. President of the Trust.

Budget and Participation:

The event, conducted on a nominal budget of ₹12 lakh at Kanissery Kavu Temple premises in Cheruthazham, Kannur, from December 25 to 29, witnessed daily participation of 500 –1000 well wishers receiving annaprasadam and 100 volunteers tirelessly supporting the activities.

This event has reinforced its position as Kerala’s most vibrant annual Vedic-cultural gathering. Once again, we express our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to its success.
