There are only a couple of Dharma Goshalas in Kerala. 99% percentage of the aged or ailing cows are slaughtered. The project envisages at stopping this cruel killing of animals. This is in line with the anti-slaughter policy upheld by Govt. of India. To start with, 2.5 acre appropriate land is identified in Kannur district, Kerala exclusively for establishing a Dharma Goshala. Fund is sought from Philanthropists and CSR companies for buying the land, setting up the Goshala there and also for maintaining it further. Initial phase can be completed in 3 years. Project will be managed by Gomithra Dept. of SRSY.
