The Veda Vidya Prathishtanam of Sreeraghavapuram Sabhayogam celebrated on Sunday Guru Purnima in different patasalas during the morning hours. There were reciting of the Vedas, Aacharyapranama, tributes to Vedavyasa and floral archanas.
In the spiritual confrence held at Chettoor Brahmaswom Nalukettu in the afternoon, Dr. E N Easwaran, Director, Vedavidya prathishtanam presided. Spiritual orator Kanapram Easwaran Namboodiri inaugurated confrence. He explained the relevance of Guru Purnima and also the various contributions of Vedavyasa to the Bharathiya tradition. Keezhanallur Bhavan Namboodiri, Amallur sangameswaran Namboodiri ,V .J .P .Narayanan Namboodiri, Sabhayogam President Dr. T C Govindan Namboodiri, Varanasi Madhavan Namboodiri, Sreekanth Kara Bhattathiri, Dr . O. C .Krishnan Namboodiri and Arundhati Antharjanam spoke on the occasion. Veda patasala students who scored high grades during the recent 10th and +2 exams were given prizes and were facilitated. Gurupoornima puraskaram in memory of Vatcha vadhyan Madhavan Namboodiri was awarded to Kobankulam Vamsee Krishnan Namboodiri.
