Kulappurath Varanakode Bhrahmasri. Amarnath Namboodiri, the new Rawalji from Kannur District, Kerala took charge as the new Rawalji at the world famous Sree Badrinath temple in Uttarakhand. Amarnath Namboodiri was serving Badri nath as Assistant Rawalji under Bhrahmasri. Easwaraprasad Namboodiri who served as Rawalji at Badrinath during the last more than one decade.
After completing the ascension rituals including panchatheertha snana and panchsila vandan, the new Rawalji entered in the Sanctumsactorium wherein the outgoing Rawalji advised the moolamantra and entrusted the power and position. The subsequent poojas were performed by the new Rawalji.

Eswaraprasad Namboodiri is the son of late V C Vishnu Namboodiri and Sankaramangalam Subhadra Antherjanam. He completed his Vedic & tantric studies under Puthumana Sreedharan Namboodiri. He was Asst. Rawalji while Bhrahmasri. V P Badariprasad Namboodiri was the Rawalji, whom he succeeded. Easwaraprasad served as Rawalji a decade and was fortunate to rise as one among the Sishyas of Devarshi Narada. He was specially recognised and rewarded by the Thehari Maharaja for his outstanding performance as Rawalji. He was also the chairman of Adi Sankara Adwaitha Foundation and had initiated several dharmic and developmental works in the nearby areas of Badri. It’s pertinent to note that his grandfather late V C Ganapathy Namboodiri also served as Rawalji for a long period.
The new Rawalji Amarnath Namboodiri is from Kulappurath Varanakode Illam and is the son of Muralidharan Namboodiri and Ambili Antherjanam. He had successfully completed his Vedic studies from the Yajurveda Patasala of Kanchi kamakoti Peetom at Irijalakuda. He was serving Sree Badrinath as Assistant Rawalji since 2020. The position of Rawalji is looked upon with high regards and respect as Rawalji is construed as the representative of Badrivishal.
