1238th Birth Anniversary of Adi Shankaracharya – Celebrations – 2026
Under the leadership of the Vedavedanga Shastra department of Sreeraghavapuram Sabhayogam, the Jayanti (Vaishakha Shukla Panchami – National Philosopher’s Day) of Adi Shankaracharya Swami was fittingly celebrated.
On Tuesday, April 21, in the morning at Cherutazham Kannisserikkavu, Sabha Yogam President Brahmasri. Sreekanth Kara Bhattathiri led the offerings at the statue of Sri Sankara Bhavathpada.
Acharyas and students from the Sabhayogam’s Ramapadam and Naduvil Madom Vedapathashalas performed circumambulation and prostration with Yajurveda chanting.
Subsequently, Kavyadeepam Brahmasri. Karakkad Kesavan Namboodiri delivered a class on Sankaradarshanas. He stated that properly understanding and propagating the Vedas—the foundational principles of Sanatanadharma—through the light of Bhagavatpada’s works is essential for the progress of Hindu society and the nation.
At the event, Hari Namboodiri K.P., Unnikrishnan Cherukudal, Vishnu Namboodiri V.J.P., Kizhanelloor Bhavan Namboodiri, Subhash Namboodiri Vengattattil Madom, and V J P Narayanan Namboodiri attended and shared their thoughts.
