About Lecture Series
The purpose of the lecture series is to impart knowledge about Carnatic Music to all. The topics will be selected in a way that will be useful for Carnatic music students and researchers as well as anyone who wants to know more about Carnatic music. Lectures will be handled by renowned Carnatic Musicians, instrumentalists, researchers, teachers and music critics. The lecture will be conducted in every month on various topics by eminent personalities. The first among the lecture series is on “Enchanting Ragas”. This lecture is indented to discuss about the beautiful ragas in Carnatic Music. The discussion of the ragas also will provide information on the Carnatic songs and film songs composed in these ragas.
Sri. Ajith Namboothiri
The lecture will be delivered by Sri. Ajith Namboothiri, a famous musician and researcher. He is a multi-talented personality passionately involved with several aspects of Music. He has been active in music industry and concerts for more than 20 years. He has worked in several television shows as an Anchor, Program conceptualizer, Scriptwriter and a Producer. Ajith Namboothiri did his Ganabhooshanam course from Swati Tirunal College of Music, Thiruvananthapuram. He completed his Ganapraveena course from Chembai Memorial Government Music College, Palakkad. He pursued his graduation from Madras University in Indian Music. During his initial stage of career, he was mentored by K. Viswanathan and Vishnu Bhatt.
