Assistant Professor Narayanan Namboothiri, Cheruthazham Kulappuram Neerngad Illam. Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Government Engineering College, Kannur. He has completed his B.Tech (Hons.) degree in Civil Engineering in 1997 from Kannur Engineering College. He obtained his M.Tech in Structural Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode. He served in the Kerala Water Authority for 10 years as Assistant Engineer and Assistant Executive Engineer. Achieved high ranks in the KWA and KSEB Assistant Engineer examinations conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission and acquired high scores in GATE for two consecutive years. Due to his huge interest in teaching, he won first rank in the Assistant Professor examination conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission. He then resigned from Kerala Water Authority and has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Government Engineering College, Kannur since 2012. He has completed his PhD in Functionally graded plate structures in Structural Engineering from IIT Bombay and submitted his dissertation. He is currently working at Government Engineering College, Kannur. His wife Saraswathi is a Computer Science teacher at Government Higher Secondary School,Kunhimangalam. Mother Droupathi disappears. Ammath-Kunnaru Kallampally. His children Nayan Shankar and Varada are studying in 10th class 6th class respectively. His elder brother Vishnu Namboothiri Retired as Scientist at Vikram Sarabhai Space Center, Thiruvananthapuram. He has 3 Sisters.
