Inauguration of Peruvamba Dharma Gaushala

A Milestone in Gau Seva by Sree Raghavapuram Sabha Yogam

The Peruvamba Dharma Gaushala of Sree Raghavapuram Sabha Yogam was successfully inaugurated on 29 January 2026, a day of great spiritual significance as it fell on Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, at Peruvamba.

The first phase of the Dharma Gaushala, with a capacity of around 20 cows, was inaugurated in a simple and traditional manner. The inauguration ceremony included Ganapathy Homam followed by Gau Pooja, performed to invoke divine blessings for the successful functioning of the Gaushala and the wellbeing of the cows.

On the eve of the inauguration (28 January 2026), special rituals were conducted as part of the spiritual preparations. Sudharshana Homam and Bhagavathi Seva were performed seeking divine grace and protection for the Dharma Gaushala.

The Dharma Gaushala is located at Peruvamba in Kannur District, Kerala, and has been established on a total land area of approximately 2.5 acres. As part of the inauguration and associated activities, the Gaushala also received five indigenous cows as dānam.

Through this initiative, Sree Raghavapuram Sabha Yogam aims to gradually expand the Gaushala facilities and fulfill its broader vision of protecting and caring for around 100 indigenous old-age cows in the coming phases.

The successful inauguration marks an important step in the Sabha Yogam’s commitment to Go Seva and the preservation of indigenous cattle.
